Finally, a survey worth looking at…

We have used these words before but it’s no secret that many people have a less than favorable view of collection agencies. The collection industry does struggle with perception only because of the nature of the business and it’s up to us to show you just what this industry does for our nation.

So how does $55 billion (With a B…) pumped back into our economy nationwide sound? We think that’s pretty impressive. At a time when that seems to be the only thing on our minds, we think people should take note of what this industry puts back into our fragile economy.

What we find as equally impressive is the amount of dollars and resources the collection industry has donated to charity. In 2011, collection agencies across the country donated $85.2 million to charity. Couple that with 652,300 volunteer hours and you have an industry that is not only improving the economy but making lasting impressions on the communities they do business in.

From day one, we have made it part of our culture to do what’s right This collection agency raised well over $30,000 for charity last year and this company, 50 team members strong volunteered over 300 hours in our communities; serving a variety of roles.

So what does all this mean? By pumping $50 billion into our economy, we help keep many businesses in business. Not only that but those funds also keep their people employed which in turn, puts even more money back into our economy and brings much needed tax revenue to both the states and the federal government. (No one likes taxes, but you get the point…)
