Our team seems to be always getting involved in something greater than themselves and this April was no different. Our crew has raised money for many causes including breast cancer research, Special Olympics and other noteworthy missions over the years.
This past month, they once again took on the ACA Collectors Challenge and raised close to $1,500 for this program. Our team has been raising money and having fun each April and they know their efforts are going to help many in the collection industry.
In the past decade, we have raised over $18,000 to help fund educational opportunities.
The ACA Collectors Challenge raises funds for the ACA International Education Foundation. And those funds ultimately go towards funding the Loomer-Mortensn Scholarship program that helps to fund higher education opportunities for those working the collection industry and their family members, including some of our own over the years.
So how do we raise money the American Profit Way?
Well, one of the most popular ways we raise money for anything here is casual dress. Yeah, we are a professional office, but who doesn’t like to come into work in jeans? We have raised a lot of money for causes over the years by just having our team pay for the opportunity to dress casual in the office.
Our office was a buzz with March Madness and we were able to raise even more money by having a little friendly competition here. And what made it even better was that two of our team members were able to share in the winnings as well as be able to contribute to the ACA Foundation.
And who doesn’t like a good putting contest in the office? The key was to sink that putt from 75 feet away in the office. Not an easy task. But our team was up to it and helped us raise close to $1,500 for the Foundation.
Aside from all the fun we have here raising money for various organization, we always maintain our focus on why we are doing this. And in this case, it is fostering more education in the collection industry. We pride ourselves here on a number of ways we conduct business and education is one of them. Whether it’s formal education in the classroom or making sure our team is always up to date on compliance and other techniques to be more effective for both our customers and the consumer.
Education at American Profit Recovery is one of our top priorities here.
