One of my favorite times of the year at this collection agency, American Profit Recovery, is Employee Week.  It’s a time when the owners give back to the employees for all of the hard work they put in every single day.  Each year is a different theme, this year was the 90’s and I have to say dress up day was hilarious!  We attend a Tigers game every year that everyone looks forward too.  It is a good time to get to know your fellow coworkers outside of the work environment. Great companies to work for

Bowling night as well, one of the most competitive times of the year, winner takes home the traditional trophy.  Lunch is provided all week, from nacho bars to pizza to ice cream sundaes.  One day of the week the owners of the company cook everyone breakfast which is something you will not see at most companies.  They make pancakes, sausage, and omelets that include a variety of different options.

That being said, most companies, you do not even see the owners.  Ours work side by side with us every day!  During the work days this week, we also have smaller games going on.  Trivia is a hit every year!  Employees donate money for trivia tickets, for every question answered correctly you get a ticket that you write your name on and can put into a drawing.  There are multiple different drawings to choose from; dying a manager’s hair any color you’d like, pie-ing a manager in the face, a bonus pack that includes PTO, casual vouchers, etc.

Can’t forget VEGAS! That I’m guessing you already know, has the most tickets every year.  This year as well we played Double Dare.  Each day was a different challenge.  One day we had to place a ping pong ball on a spoon and travel through an obstacle course set up throughout the office, within 60 seconds.  Another day was the Oreo Challenge, objective of the game was to place an Oreo on your forehead and then maneuver it into your mouth without using your hands.  Another challenge that was very fun was placing 8 ping pong balls into an empty tissue box, tying that onto your back, & having to get all of them out within 60 seconds without using your hands, walls, or any objects for that matter.  A photo booth was set up as well with props.  You may think this week only involves the employees at American Profit Recovery, well it doesn’t.  All money raised goes to charity!

This is one week, EVERYONE looks forward too at this collection agency, can’t wait to see what is in store next year!
