APR named one of the best places to work for 6th year in a row
American Profit Recovery has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Collections for the sixth year in a row. It’s an honor to be recognized in our industry and to continue meeting our goal of being an award-winning workplace.
The Best Places to Work program is run by industry publication InsideArm.com and Best Companies Group. This program has a rigorous evaluation process which showed that our company is succeeding in our efforts to provide a challenging, and encouraging work environment that allows our team members to grow in their roles and develop a career that brings them, as well as the customer, satisfaction.
Our employees are important to us, and we wanted to know how they would answer the question, “Why is the collection industry a great place to work?” So we asked around and here is what we found out.
Al Scott who has worked in banking and collections for over 60 years, the last seven with APR says that “The changing collection landscape requires that agencies put in place opportunities for its employees to develop critical thinking skills and cultural competency. Every opportunity is available at APR where employees are continually motivated to succeed.”
Bruce Beegle a collection Manager employee for six years said that, “During my years in the industry, I have realized how challenging and how rewarding this job can be. I enjoy resolving situations that are deemed “unresolvable” or told “they will never pay” and then resolve these accounts, while having the client be very appreciative and thanking us for doing a great job. Nothing is more rewarding to me, than that.”
Tricia McSweeney, who has worked in sales for over a year with APR, had this to say, “A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and integrity were the things I was told I would need to succeed here at APR. Since then, I’ve realized that the commitment that management has to those qualities shapes every decision, every policy, and every employee. People with those values end up thriving here, and as a result we have an amazing team. In an industry with high turn-over and low job satisfaction, I work for a company who invests in every employee’s success and then rewards it.”
