We have a brand new office here at American Profit Recovery. New walls, desks, chairs, conference rooms and new phones. Everything here looks great at this collection agency. So why did our staff spend the summer in jeans?

We were raising money for charity of course!

Every summer we run our annual Summer Charities of Choice program where we raise money for a bunch of nonprofit organizations. And we raise the bulk of our funds by paying for the option to dress casual in the office. We conduct a number of other activities to have fun and raise money but most of the cash is raised by dressing casual.

It’s that time of year again!  Time to take the plunge!  This will the fifth year that American Profit Recovery sponsors the Special Olympics Polar Plunge.  I can only hope that the conditions are as perfect for when we jump into Lake Brighton as they were back in 2015.  Nice and chilly…

It really is true that helping others feels better than helping yourself. Just ask our team. They have once again finished off another holiday season of helping area families in need. It’s the eighth year of our Adopt a Family program and our team just keeps upping their game when it comes to helping others.

This past season our team in our Michigan office raised close to $1,000 and purchased close to 100 gifts for area families and children. This year – American Profit Recovery – MI will once again be participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk sponsored by the American Cancer Society. This will be APR’s 8th year participating in this walk. This year APR will be participating in the Making Strides Walk in Detroit, MI on Saturday, October 8th 2016. This is a family friendly event where we encourage everyone to bring their family and friends to be part of Team APR!

Our staff and ownership have raised tens of thousands of dollars for this important cause and we continue to make this one of our biggest charity efforts of the year.

This year the team at American Profit Recovery once again took part in our own annual Summer Charities of Choice program. This marks our seventh year doing so. This program was designed to raise funds through a variety of activities throughout the summer and then we donate all the funds raised solely to charities nominated by our employees.

These charities nominated by employees are near and dear to our employees here and many of the donations given are in “Honor of” or “Memory of” someone special to our employees.  Over the past seven years – APR’s employees have raised over $16,000 for this charity initiative alone! […]

Today marks the tenth day before Christmas. If you’re like me, you still have a whole list of people who you need to shop for! Lucky for me, I am able buy gifts for my family and friends.

But there are some families who can’t buy gifts, even for their own children. Here at APR, we have done adopt a family for several years. I have always embraced this, and brought in gifts. This year, I was given the chance and honor to help Plymouth Goodfellows hand out the gifts to families in need.
