Every year at American Profit Recovery we seem to take Halloween to a level unmatched by other collection agencies.  I know others in the collection industry and when I speak with they don’t even mention Halloween parties.  Not only did we have a potluck with so much great food that I did not eat dinner last night.  We will be eating leftovers throughout the rest of the week.

The Fall has always been my favorite time of the year. I love the cool nights and warm days of Autumn in the Midwest. The return of Michigan football after nine long months brings back memories of Saturday tailgates long ago with my Dad, and the promise of passing on those traditions to my kids (Go Blue!). Raking leaves, trips to the cider mill for fresh cider mill donuts, absurdly repetitive pumpkin spice-flavored advertisements on TV; I could go on and on.

Here at American Profit Recovery, I have found this to be a foundation.  From Ownership on down, everybody is here to help!  I have never seen a collection agency put so much emphasis on this.

Ownership is leading the way.  I have seen their generosity in helping employees and their families.  They support our community by investing their time and raising thousands of dollars of donations.  I see Collectors helping consumers out of a difficult situation and treating them with dignity and respect.  Customer Services Reps, making time for everybody and always available to help. When I first started at American Profit Recovery in October, I was immediately impressed by the company’s commitment to the community and charitable organizations.  To say APR “gives back” or “pays it forward” are understatements.  In November, we collected toiletries for vets in need, adopted 3 local families for Christmas,  raised money for the ACA Scholarship Fund in March and adopted a park in April.  Little did I know at the time, that my family would benefit from one of our efforts!

Several of our team members joined many other brave souls as they jumped into icy cold water this past week to raise money for the athletes of Special Olympics Michigan. It’s a very important cause and our team jumped head first into the event.

The Polar Plunge is an annual event not only in Michigan but across the country. It raises funds for the athletic and health programs of Special Olympics and our team was proud to once again take part in this.
We joined 18 other teams and the event raised close to $40,000. Our team raised close to $1,000 this year alone freezing in the cold water for as long as they could stand it. […]
